Kristin Neilson
Emory School of Law, JD 2005Kristin became interested in the concept of rehabilitation of juvenile offenders while studying psychology at Penn State University. She has interned in both a criminal defense law firm and at the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

Nova Harb
Emory School of Law, JD 2005Nova Harb is a second year law student at Emory. At the University of Florida, Ms Harb volunteered as a mentor to girls in detention, which sparked her interest in juvenile law. This is Ms. Harb's first opportunity to explore and research juvenile law in depth. She foresees working on children's legal issues in the future.

Belinda Prawdzik
Emory Rollins School of Public Health, MPH 2002Belinda Prawdzik is in the Health Management and Policy program at Rollins School of Public Health and her concentration is in public health policy. While she has worked with children in the past as mentor, teacher, and coach, this is her first experience working behind the scenes on child advocacy issues. In the future she hopes to become involved in public health policy research as it relates to children. In her work study position Ms. Prawdzik focuses on children in detention and the systems that serve them as well as general Barton Clinic matters.
Ms. Prawdzik received her B.S. in Psychology from Appalachian State University.

Katherine Parsons

Emory Candler School of Theology, MA 2003Kate Parsons has a longstanding interest in children and children's issues and has interned with Rhode Island Court Appointed Special Advocates and DeKalb County Juvenile Court Child Advocate's Office. She foresees a future dealing with children's issues in some capacity. Ms. Parsons worked in the Barton Clinic for academic credit in the fall semester and continues her work through her work study position in which she focuses on the Interfaith Children's Movement of Metropolitan Atlanta, juvenile justice systems, and child welfare legal issues.
Ms. Parsons received her BA in Religion from the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York.
