Become a One Child One Lawyer Volunteer!

To participate in the One Child One Lawyer program, volunteer attorneys must attend a one-day multidisciplinary training on child welfare law and juvenile court practice. Continuing legal education credits are available. Once this requirement is satisfied, the attorneys are eligible to be appointed to serve as attorneys ad litem on cases referred from the juvenile courts.

Ongoing techical support including case consultation and continuing education seminars are available to all attorneys participating in the project.

Volunteers are expected to commit to the project for the entirety of the case to which they are assigned, from time of appointment through the final disposition of the case. On average, attorneys are investing approximately 4 to 5 pro bono hours per month on these cases.

For more information email the Project Coordinator or complete the registration form and return it by fax to (404) 463-5126.
