How can you as an individual make a difference in Georgia's Child Welfare System?
- Become educated about the system.
- Read our policy paper, then subscribe to our e-mail lists to stay informed about what is happening in this state for abused and neglected children and how you can help in the political process. See http://childwelfare.net/.
- Become a caseworker.
- Contact your local county Division of Family and Childrens Services office to learn of the requirements. Click on the "County Offices" link on http://dfcs.dhr.georgia.gov/ for a list of county DFCS offices.
- Become a foster parent.

- Become a Court Appointed Special Advocate.

- Become a volunteer with your Juvenile Court's Citizen Panel Review Board.

- Get your church to join Georgia's One Church/One Child.
- Each church commits to support an adoptive family as a community. Call 1-800-662-3651.
- Get your organization or church to adopt a transitional home or a group home for kids in state custody.
